This workshop introduces puzzle block printmaking, a technique for creating a multi-colour print. Jer will lead you step-by-step through brainstorming, carving, and inking, giving you the skills and confidence to continue experimenting on your own. You’ll leave with a new technique, inspiration, and your own unique block print.
Meet the Speaker
From doodling on napkins to illustrating several children’s books, Jeremy has always lived through art. Now teaching block printing in studios, schools, and workshops, he emphasizes accessibility and creativity, encouraging students to experiment and find joy in the process.
For him, teaching and art-making are deeply connected—students inspire new ideas while his own practice brings fresh techniques to the classroom, building community and nurturing creativity at any age.

This stencil has the design of what we will be carving. You have a choice of transferring in the direction of your preference. I will go over in the workshop how to use the stencil in a couple of ways to transfer the image to your rubber block.
