Code of Conduct

Block Printing Fest is a global community of printmakers, artists, and curious beginners. We want everyone to feel welcome, respected, and inspired to create. This code of conduct applies to all festival spaces, including live sessions, replays, community forums, chats, social media groups, and any related events.

Our commitment

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or level of experience with printmaking.

Expected behavior

  • Be kind, patient, and welcoming to fellow participants, artists, and organizers.
  • Give constructive, encouraging feedback and celebrate other people’s work.
  • Respect different skill levels, styles, and approaches to printmaking.
  • Credit artists and sources when you share or reference someone else’s work.
  • Respect the privacy of others and ask before sharing their images or personal information.
  • Keep conversations focused on printmaking, creativity, and community.

Unacceptable behavior

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive, demeaning, or sexualized comments, images, or jokes.
  • Political statements, campaigning, or political promotion of any kind in any festival space.
  • Personal attacks, trolling, or deliberately disruptive behavior in live sessions or chats.
  • Copying, reselling, or redistributing artwork, course material, or session recordings without permission.
  • Unsolicited promotion or spam in community spaces.

No political statements

Block Printing Fest is a space to share our love of printmaking. To keep it welcoming for artists and participants from all backgrounds and countries, we do not allow political statements, slogans, or campaigning in live sessions, chats, community forums, or shared artwork and presentations. Posts and comments that break this rule may be removed.

Respecting artists’ work

All designs, tutorials, and recordings shared during the festival remain the intellectual property of their creators. Please use them for personal learning and inspiration only, and do not share them outside the festival without written permission from the artist.

Reporting a concern

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this code of conduct, please contact the festival team as soon as possible at [email protected]. Reports are handled confidentially and with care.

Consequences

Participants who are asked to stop a behavior are expected to comply immediately. The organizers may issue a warning, remove content, or remove a participant from the festival and its community spaces without a refund, at their discretion.

Thank you for helping us keep Block Printing Fest a warm and creative place for everyone.
